It is the end of the month and you know what that means, another edition of our style collaboration. As I sit here writing this post it is unseasonably warm for the end of November in Iowa. Some here are unhappy that we haven’t really cooled off for fall, but I am very happy. I hate winters in Iowa, they are cold and snowy, so the longer it stays warm the shorter the winter will feel. In preparation for the cooler months, we chose knitwear for our style theme this month. There were so many different ways each of us could have gone with this style and that is exactly what we did. So pour yourself a cup of coffee, pull up a chair and read how the 6 six style blogger are ready for winter with knitwear. If you are a follower of this collaboration you may see that we have a new member of our small group, her name is Dominique and she brings her own unique style to the group.
I am always in awe of Gabby’s style, it feels effortless yet looks great. For our knitwear collab, Gabby has paired a knit hat and cardigan together with some of her jewelry from her online shop. I can say that I have seen many of her pieces and love almost all of them. For more information about Gabby’s style and her online shop you can check her out at Gift of Gabby, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
I can totally relate to Chelsea’s look this month as it is casual and comfy at the same time and perfect for lounging around at home. As you can see Chelsea paired her patterned cardigan with a t-shirt and leggings which she says is her go-to outfit for relaxing at home. I think I need to incorporate more of this style in my life as I am working from home now. Chelsea tells us more about her style over at Rosy Point of View. I loved her post and I think you will too.
How adorable is the beanie that Onedrila is wearing? Not only does she look super cute in this beanie but she is talented, she made this beanie! I wish I was that talented. You must head over to Just-OD-Things to learn more about Onedrila’s style this month.
Winter is a time I used to spend in the middle of mounds of wool, churning out fun caps and mufflers, mostly for friends and family. The one piece I made for myself is this black beret. It comes out every winter. It goes well with most of my winter outfits, and the best part is, it covers my hair wich is usually dry and messed up in winter!
Rosy is wearing a very special sweater to her, it was made with love by her mom. I know how much this means to her because you cannot beat things made with love from your mommy. This sweater is also perfect for Rosy as she lives in the great state of Texas where it doesn’t get as cold as it does here in the Midwest. It is also with great sadness that this will be Rosy’s last post with us as she has decided to focus on her schooling. I wish Rosy all the best and will miss her cute southern style. If you want to keep up with Rosy you can find her on her blog at Radiantly Rosy.
Meet Dominique, our newest member of the 6 style blogger group. I love the vintage look of Dominique’s sweater, and it feels like I may have something similar in my closet when I was in high school. Yes, unfortunately, I am that old! Her skirt is also so much fun with the extra embellishments and I can honestly say I am loving this trend. I would love for you to check out Dominique’s blog at A Petite Flower, where you can learn a little more about her, her style and her vintage shop.
Hi! I’m Dominique. I’m 21 years old and I’m from Delaware. I have my own online vintage clothing store A Petite Flower Vintage, and I just started studying personal styling online at the New York Institute of Art & Design. I love fashion, disney, photography, and old movies. Honestly, my personal style is all over the place. One day I could be in head to toe vintage, and the other day in boots and a velvet dress I got at forever 21. It really depends on my mood. When I’m not wearing vintage, though, I tend to lean towards more of an edgy look. I would say this look is a little on the edgy side with a pop of girly from the pastel sweater.
Jody (aka Me!)
I will be honest, I never used to wear hats, I didn’t want to mess up my hair or at least that is what I told myself. Now that I am older, and maybe a bit wiser, I like to wear hats in the winter. I try to find a hat that is warm first then cute and I must say this hat is both! If you like the hat, I will give you a little tip I found it for about $6 which makes it even cuter. I also love to wear sweaters in the winter, especially since I am ALWAYS cold. When I am running errands I hate wearing a heavy winter coat so I typically will wear a lightweight coat such as this one with a hat that will keep me kind of warm while I dash from my car to the store.
Unfortunately most of the items I recycled from my closet so I am unable to link to them. However, if you are curious I found this hat at Wally World while trying to find cheap gloves to wear tailgating. 🙂
I have to say that I love doing these collaborations with these lovely ladies. We have been putting them together since August and in case you missed our last one where we conquered pattern mixing you can check it out here.
Now that it is time to wrap up this post I would absolutely love to hear about your favorite knitwear item you wear. I can always use inspirations for my own closet.
