Some days the struggle is real. Those are the days when you stare at a blank computer screen and try to figure out what to talk about. Should I talk about the weather, nah that stuff is boring. Should I talk about how amazed I am January is over, nah we all know time flies when we are having fun. Should I talk about my busy year, nope you are already tired of that storyline. Huh, so what to say that will make you all go hmm or wow or anything other than she is boring. haha. I honestly have nothing, life has been pretty ho-hum as it always is in January, nothing exciting ever happens in this month, or at least for me, it doesn’t. So I guess we can talk about why we are here, this month’s big questions from the Six Style Bloggers – Denim anyone?
So in case you haven’t guessed we are styling denim on denim this month. This might be one of my favorite styles especially when I can wear something from my fiance’s closet.
Gabby
Gabby has put together a super cute denim on denim look that is chic and casual. I love the uniqueness of her patterned denim jacket. I often forget that I can pair my denim jacket with different colors of denim for a different look. To find out more about Gabby’s outfit you can visit her blog at Gift of Gabby.
Chelsea
I am going to start this out by saying OMG I love love love that pink jacket. Chelsea if you ever get tired of it you can send it my way. (just kidding) The jacket paired with the different denim shades makes this the perfect outfit for a fall or winter day. To learn more about Chelsea’s look head over to the Rosy Point of View
Oendrila
I always look forward to the outfits that Oendrila chooses for our project, her unique Indian style can be seen in each one. Here are her thoughts on her selections for this month’s outfit.
Blue denim on blue denim, with no colour blocks? Most people would probably stay away from this, but I love to do what others don’t. I had this denim dress, but to make it look a little different, I slipped on a crop top, to turn the dress into a skirt. The usual 100% cotton denim has a look and feel of its own. Instead of that, I picked polyester blends of denim, commonly used for suiting and shirting purposes, especially in fusion fashion. As a result, my skirt and top, despite having the characteristic indigo shade, do not quite have the 70’s look. Instead, they look much softer, lighter and flowier. While the skirt is as simple as it gets, and has a matted look, the top has some light threadwork, in the same colour as the skirt, and even has a gentle sheen. The fabrics have made all the difference here. And, while the chunky neckpiece makes things more ethnic, the boots add a touch of street style to the look.
Jenna
Now I would like to introduce you to our newest member of the style group, Jenna. She has a blog, Mrs.TeacherChic which is fabulous and you can head over there to check out her thoughts on this month’s style.
I love how Jenna paired her outfit with this cute poncho. I have a similar one and she just gave me an idea of how to wear it. Sorry for stealing your idea’s, I promise it won’t be exactly the same.
Jody
Now it is time for me. I took these pictures last summer and have been waiting for the perfect reason to use them. This month’s outfit seemed like the perfect time. For this style, I paired an oversized men’s denim shirt with a pair of my favorite boyfriend jeans. Oversized men’s shirts are one of my favorite casual styles when I “think” I have nothing in my closet to wear.
I must say just looking at this picture makes me wish that it was spring already, I am so over this winter stuff. Whoops, I said earlier I wasn’t going to talk about the weather. Sorry!
Final Thoughts
What do you think? Did we nail the denim on denim look this month? Which outfit was your favorite? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

Jody
